Job Overview

Production Packager

Wage: $20.85/hr

Schedule: 1st shift, 6am-6pm Mon-Thursday (may include OT)

Location: Luana IA

Job Summary: The Packager is responsible for preparing, packaging, labeling, and inspecting dairy products to ensure they meet company quality and food-safety standards. Employees work as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment and help make sure products are properly packaged and ready for distribution to customers and retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging machinery as needed.

  • Package dairy products according to company specifications.

  • Inspect containers, labels, seals, and finished products for defects.

  • Ensure products are properly labeled, dated, and packaged.

  • Load and unload packaging materials and supplies.

  • Monitor production lines and report equipment or product problems to supervisors.

  • Perform basic cleaning and routine equipment checks.

  • Follow production schedules and meet daily production goals.

  • Assist with other production duties when needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous packaging, manufacturing, warehouse, or food-production experience is helpful.
