Hawkeye Electric is growing and looking to add a Controller to our team in Hiawatha, Iowa. We are seeking a detail-oriented, forward-thinking professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with clients and team members alike.This role will primarily support clients in the construction and real estate industries, providing high-level accounting oversight, financial reporting, job costing support, and project-based accounting services. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service.Responsibilities Include:Preparing monthly financial statements and account reconciliationsManaging AIA billingsPerforming job costing and cost accounting functionsTracking project costs, budgets, and profitabilityRecording accruals and prepaid expensesCalculating and tracking depreciationPreparing cash flow statements and trial balancesAssisting with budgeting and forecastingPreparing and filing sales tax returns, including related researchTracking intercompany transactions and activityPreparing and filing 1099sProcessing payroll, including W-2 preparation and filingsOther projects as assigned
