The Controller will play a key leadership role overseeing the accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing the month-end and year-end close processes, and partnering with executive leadership and operations to drive financial performance. • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

  • Support annual audits, tax filings, insurance audits, and other external reporting requirements
  • Lead accounting process improvements and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and automation
  • Evaluate and improve accounting systems, reporting tools, and ERP processes
  • Assist with acquisitions, integrations, system implementations, and other strategic initiatives as needed
  • Hire, develop, coach, and manage accounting team members
  • Establish performance expectations and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Serve as a trusted financial partner to the executive leadership team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • 7–12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or significant accounting leadership experience
  • Experience in oil & gas, energy, construction, engineering, industrial services, manufacturing, or a related industry strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proven experience leading month-end and year-end close processes
  • Strong general ledger, financial reporting, and account reconciliation experience
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis

What We're Looking For We're looking for a Controller who is both strategic and hands-on—someone who can lead the accounting function but isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and dig into the numbers when necessary. The right person will be comfortable partnering with executives and operations leaders, explaining financial results in plain English, identifying issues before they become problems, and helping the business make better decisions. Experience in a project-based, operational, or field-services environment is a major plus, particularly for candidates who understand the financial impact of project margins, labor, materials, job costs, revenue, and cash flow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting leader who wants to have a meaningful impact on the business and serve as a key member of the leadership team. If you're an experienced Controller looking for an opportunity to lead, build, and make an impact, we'd love to hear from you! Ref: #209-Rowland Houston
