North Shore CDJR is a brand-new, state-of-the-art dealership opening October 1, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We're looking for a detail-driven, motivated Assistant Controller to help build and support our Accounting Department from the ground up.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dealership accounting professional or a strong Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager ready to take the next step into leadership.

You'll work closely with the Controller and dealership leadership to establish processes, maintain financial accuracy, strengthen controls, and help build a high-performing accounting operation from day one.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Assist the Controller with the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, and other accounting functions.
  • Review deal-related accounting and vehicle inventory transactions for accuracy.
  • Assist with floorplan accounting, reconciliations, and inventory reporting.
  • Identify discrepancies and research issues to resolution.
  • Help maintain strong internal controls and consistent accounting procedures.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with dealership departments to ensure transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Support the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Help train, coach, and support Accounting Department team members.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Step in as a key resource for the Accounting Department when the Controller is unavailable.
  • Represent The Hanania Way through accuracy, accountability, integrity, and teamwork.

  • Previous automotive dealership accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with dealership financial statements and accounting processes.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close.
