Job description

Position Purpose:
To serve as a trusted Business Partner to the General Manager and management team on all aspects of Division financial performance and strategic review.  Also, to lead and develop the Division Accounting staff and HR processes to ensure proper compliance and risk mitigation practices are in place. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
The following areas of responsibility for this position may vary by location and are not limited to those listed below.
 
General
         Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times
         Full-time role in an office/manufacturing plant setting
         Follow BCI Basic Beliefs when executing all position functions and through interactions with others
         Leadership and development of Accounting team
         Liaison between Division and Corporate IT Department for all Division IT support needs
         Comfortable working in fast-paced environment & daily interaction with management team/staff
 
Finance
         Review monthly financial statement results with General Manager and management team and provide value-added observations and recommendations
         Make journal entries necessary for month-end closing utilizing ERP System (Amtech) and Great Plains (Corporate accounting system)
         Prepare monthly close packages for both internal use and corporate reporting
         Calculate incentive programs and review with General Manager
         Work with account executives and management team to resolve past due invoices
         Lead initiatives for working capital improvements (accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital expenditures, and inventory)
         Compile inventory information for weekly and monthly reporting, and update calculations for monthly inventory valuation
         Monitor the accuracy of inventory reports and status of slow-moving inventory for disposition
         Work with warehouse personnel on cycle counts, full physical inventories, and month-end inventory
         Track capital expenditure project costs and maintain required documentation for fixed asset accounting
         Assist with year-end audit procedures
         Participate in annual cost system updates
         Oversee the exempt and non-exempt payroll processing within the time and attendance modules of the HRIS/Payroll system (UKG)
 
People/HR
         Serve as the primary point of contact for all sensitive and day-to-day associate HR needs
         Timely administer associate benefit enrollments, election updates, and changes in UKG (BCI HRIS)
         Process, track and administer associate leaves of absence in accordance with applicable leave management policies and employment laws
         Process, track and administer unemployment compensation, workers' compensation and insurance claims with relevant insurance carrier and/or state agency
         Conduct timely workplace investigations with the management team as appropriate
         Support HR staff and management team in effective training, development, performance management, health and wellness initiatives and disciplinary processes for associates
         Collaborate with Division and/or Regional HR staff to ensure compliance with pre-employment, hiring, onboarding and retention policies and procedures
         Administer BCI Associate Handbook policies and periodic updates with all associates from initial hire through termination
         Maintain timely associate document records in UKG (e.g., new hire paperwork, benefit elections, performance, training, discipline, medical) in accordance with record retention requirements

Qualifications Desired:
         Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
         Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in full-time accounting management position (manufacturing setting preferred)
         Demonstrated professional leadership experience
