Controller – REMOTE
 
About the role: The Controller is a key player in the accounting department, responsible for month-end closing, inter-departmental information flow, internal and external finance reporting support and developing and complying with accounting procedures and internal controls.

How You will contribute
 
• Lead the overall month close process and oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensuring financial statements are accurate, compliant with accounting standards (GAAP), and reflect the company's financial performance. 
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Manage banking relationships/ cash management to include maintaining a    13-week cash forecast
• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting and AP team
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Implement accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Assist with the development of annual and monthly financial budgets and forecasts. Measure and report actual to budget/forecast variances.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements.
• Oversee financial and operational systems including integration and upgrades.
• Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external parties around financial metrics and reporting.
• Interface with external auditors to support and internally lead annual audit process.
• Interface with external tax consultants to assist with tax preparation.
 
Skills, Experiences and Attributes you bring to the role 
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or similar disciplines
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a minimum of 2yrs in health care setting 
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)  
• Intermediate to advanced excel experience 
• Ability to influence all levels of leadership to drive actions, behaviors, decisions, and business outcomes
 
Preferred 
• 2+ years of leadership and team management experience 
• Experience with Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics
 
Pay range: $180,000 to $200,000 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The employee may be eligible for bonuses and other forms of compensation.
