Job description

Senior Controller

Lead the Numbers. Influence the Business. Drive Global Growth.

Massillon, OH

Ready to step into a role where your financial expertise shapes business decisions—not just reports them?

We're looking for a strategic Senior Controller to become a key member of our executive leadership team. This isn't a back-office accounting position. You'll partner with senior leadership across North America and Europe, lead critical financial initiatives, modernize reporting systems, and help guide the future of a global manufacturing organization.

If you enjoy solving complex business challenges, improving processes, mentoring teams, and making an impact that reaches beyond the finance department, we'd like to meet you.

What You'll Own

  • Lead all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis activities.
  • Partner with executive leadership to improve profitability and support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop financial forecasts, analyze business trends, and provide recommendations that drive growth.
  • Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for North American operations.
  • Champion modernization initiatives, including ERP enhancements and Power BI reporting.
  • Oversee accounting operations while collaborating with IT to improve business systems.
  • Manage audits, insurance programs, credit policies, and financial compliance.
  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing accounting and finance professionals.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to leadership, auditors, legal counsel, recruiting partners, and global stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate finance teams in Europe to ensure alignment across international operations.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in accounting, finance, or controlling.
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Thrives in a manufacturing environment and understands operational finance.
  • Is highly skilled in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
  • Has advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Navision/Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
  • Enjoys using data to tell the story behind the numbers, with Power BI experience preferred.
  • Can communicate financial information clearly to executives and operational leaders.
  • Is a proactive leader who enjoys improving processes rather than maintaining the status quo.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Executive-level visibility and influence
  • Partner directly with North American and global leadership
  • Lead finance transformation and technology initiatives
  • Make strategic decisions that impact business performance
  • Stable, growing global manufacturer with long-term career potential

If you're looking for your next leadership opportunity where your ideas matter as much as your financial expertise, we'd love to hear from you.
