Reports To: Director of Finance
Department: Finance & Accounting

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controller to serve as the client-facing financial leader for an assigned portfolio. The Controller will oversee day-to-day financial operations and serve as the subject matter expert for all portfolio financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls, audit, tax, financing, and onboarding/offboarding initiatives.

The Controller will oversee Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Treasury functions while serving as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their financial operations. The ideal candidate is a strong accounting professional with excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor project plans to ensure timely completion of monthly and ad-hoc financial deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary financial contact for assigned clients and portfolios.
  • Oversee Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Treasury services and coordinate with other service lines.
  • Review and approve financial reports and other financial deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal and external communication related to daily operations, monthly reporting, and annual financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Provide clients with proactive visibility into cash flow, collections, expenses, and other key financial activity.
  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting, including budget-to-actual and variance analysis.
  • Apply strong knowledge of GAAP, cash management, AP operations, and cost reimbursement to analyze forecasts and operational performance.
  • Lead weekly team meetings to review priorities, address challenges, and drive results.
  • Monitor team KPIs and overall productivity.
  • Supervise accounting, AP, and treasury staff, including workload allocation, timesheet review, PTO approval, performance management, and staffing needs.
  • Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support operational and financial decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Manage multiple priorities and respond to client and internal requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong accounting and finance background; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and the flow of information between financial systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/data analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive productivity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadline management.
