Thibodaux Regional Health System, an independent, nonprofit hospital with 194 licensed beds and approximately $302 million in net patient revenue located in Thibodaux, Louisiana, is seeking a strategic and trustworthy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their financially strong health system and established, long tenured executive team.

The successful candidate will be able to support a visionary, strategic CEO and find ways to move the organization forward through well prepared and calculated risk taking. The Position:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for directing the financial and business office activities coincidental with defined hospital policies and objectives. The CFO ensures financial sustainability, compliance with healthcare regulations, accurate financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and includes oversight of accounting, budgeting, revenue cycle management, managed care contracting, materials management, and the clinically integrated network.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive healthcare financial leadership experience.
  • Previous experience as a Chief Financial Officer in a for-profit or not-for-profit hospital system preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience as a hospital controller or assistant controller preferred.
  • Experience with rural hospital models highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare finance regulations including Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and cost reporting.
  • Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with healthcare financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
