HIVE INTEGRATION

Connected Spaces. Seamless Control.

Sales Manager

Luxury Smart Home Integration

Tampa Bay, Florida On-site & in the field Player-Coach (60% Selling / 40% Leading)

One of Florida's top three Control4 dealers Building luxury smart homes since 2010

About Hive Integration

Since 2010, Hive Integration has designed, installed, and maintained integrated smart-home and AV systems for the most discerning homes in Tampa Bay. We are a luxury-forward technology partner, not a tech vendor the kind of firm architects, designers, and builders trust to disappear into the walls of a home and simply make everything work.

We build around the best platforms in the category. As one of the top three Control4 dealers in Florida, we design and integrate whole-home experiences on Control4 alongside premium lighting, shading, audio, and video lines from partners such as Lutron and Sonos. Our projects are true high-ticket work sophisticated whole-home systems for high-net-worth homeowners, reached both directly and through a trusted trade channel of specifiers.

Our name for the result is our promise: Connected Spaces. Seamless Control. We hold established commercial capability as well, but our heart and this seat is luxury residential. We are scaling deliberately from a ~$7M run-rate toward $20M+, and we are putting the operating discipline in place to get there including rolling out EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System) this year so this team will run on a clear scorecard and real accountability.

The Role

This is a player-coach seat: a seller who leads. The split is deliberate and fixed 60% personal selling, 40% leading the team. You will carry your own pipeline and close high-ticket residential deals, and you will build, coach, and hold accountable a team that does the same.

Read the order carefully. This is capacity first, coaching a close second we need production on the board and the team running on a system, in that order. A polished manager who has not personally closed premium deals recently is not the right fit. We are looking for a proven closer who genuinely wants to lead.

You will not personally carry an entire book alone. You cover the number as a unit your own real pipeline plus the production of the three reps you manage and develop. Your job is to make the whole greater than any single producer.

What You'll Own

Measurable outcomes a scorecard, not a wish list. Targets are set with you and backed by real support: screened inbound leads, a marketing engine building your trade-channel events, and modern tools (HubSpot and Jetbuilt).

Personal booked revenue

A real, individually carried number every quarter this leader still closes.

Team booked revenue

Combined production of your three reps meets the unit target that covers the gap.

Pipeline coverage ratio

Qualified pipeline held at a healthy multiple of the forecast, team-wide.

Forecast accuracy

Committed deals close within a tight variance of the forecast, month over month.

Speed-to-lead

Screened inbound leads reach a rep and get a first touch inside the agreed window.

Rep ramp milestones

Each rep hits defined activity and production milestones on schedule.

Optimization Plan attach rate

Attach rate on proposals climbs quarter over quarter and is logged cleanly.

CRM & forecast hygiene

HubSpot and Jetbuilt fully adopted; pipeline, stages, and Plans accurately maintained.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The 60% Selling

  • Carry a personal book. Own and advance your own pipeline of luxury residential opportunities from first conversation to signed proposal.
  • Close high-ticket work. Lead discovery, design consultations, and final negotiations on premium whole-home projects consistently.
  • Work the trade-channel room. Attend the CEUs, lunch-and-learns, and open houses that Marketing hosts, work the relationships, and convert specifiers into pipeline.
  • Attach recurring revenue. Model attaching Optimization Plans on your own proposals and make it the standard the team follows.

The 40% Leading

  • Coach three reps. Develop a team of three sales representatives ride-alongs, deal strategy, pipeline reviews, and honest, specific feedback.
  • Own systems discipline. Drive rep adoption of HubSpot and Jetbuilt; own pipeline hygiene, forecast accuracy, and clean Optimization Plan logging.
  • Tighten the structure over time. Build and refine the sales process, cadences, and standards so the team runs on a system, not on individual memory.
  • Direct revenue-generating activity. Set and manage outbound and other proactive pipeline-building effort across the team.
  • Own speed-to-lead and routing. Direct the Sales Coordinator who screens and routes inbound leads, keeping first-touch fast and assignment sharp.
  • Convert, don't run, the channel. Decide which rep attends which event and turn those rooms into pipeline. Marketing fills the room; you close it.

Your First Year

  • First 30 days. Immerse in our lines, our process, and the active pipeline; take ownership of live deals and meet the reps, the Sales Coordinator, and key trade partners.
  • By 90 days. Personally carrying and closing deals, running a clean weekly pipeline review, and with HubSpot and Jetbuilt adopted across the team.
  • By month twelve. Your personal production plus a ramped, accountable three-rep team have covered the number as a unit, with a tightened sales structure that scales.

Who You Are

  • A proven high-ticket closer. You have personally, recently closed premium residential (or comparably complex, high-value) deals and you can point to the numbers.
  • A leader by choice, not default. You genuinely want to build and develop a team, and you take pride in other people's wins as much as your own.
  • Fluent in the tools. Comfortable living in a CRM (HubSpot a plus) and in quoting and project tools; you see systems as leverage, not overhead.
  • At home in the luxury world. You can work a trade-channel room of architects, designers, and builders and hold your own with a high-net-worth client.
  • Calm, confident, precise. You carry yourself the way our brand does premium without being precious, and disciplined about the details.

What You'll Bring

Must-haves

  • 5+ years selling high-ticket products or services, with a documented personal closing track record.
  • Recent, hands-on closing of premium residential CI/AV, luxury home, or comparably complex high-value deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, or mentor sellers formally or informally.
  • CRM fluency and comfort with quoting or project tools.
  • Based in (or relocating to) the Tampa Bay area; comfortable on-site with clients and in the field.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Custom-integration, smart-home, or AV experience Control4, Lutron, Savant, or Crestron ecosystems.
  • Existing relationships with Tampa-area architects, designers, and builders.
  • Exposure to EOS / Traction, and to HubSpot and Jetbuilt specifically.

Compensation & Growth

Compensation is built to reward what this seat is really for: close now, build the engine, and get paid as it produces. In year one you are paid mostly to close; as your team ramps, the override becomes materially rewarding.

Base salary

$90,000 $120,000, benchmarked to your experience a medium base that protects your coaching time.

Personal commission

Uncapped. Your own closing is the larger near-term driver; on-target production adds roughly $60,000 $120,000+.

Team override / bonus

A real second engine that grows as your team ramps earned on the team's CRM and process discipline.

Target OTE, Year 1

$180,000 $250,000+, uncapped. In year one you are paid mostly to close; the override compounds from there.

Ranges above are market-benchmarked starting points; your specific package is finalized in the offer conversation.

This is also a seat with a runway. As we scale toward $20M+ and stand up a dedicated commercial team, this role can grow into a Director or VP of Sales for the leader who builds the engine.

Benefits & Perks

  • Health coverage. Medical, dental, and vision.
  • Retirement & time off. 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.
  • On the road. Vehicle allowance, plus phone and laptop you're out with clients and partners.
  • We invest in your craft. Paid industry training and certifications Control4, Lutron, and CEDIA so you keep sharpening.
  • Sell from strength. A premium showroom, design resources, and best-in-class product lines behind every proposal.
  • Modern stack. HubSpot (Sales Hub Pro) and Jetbuilt, so you spend your time selling, not fighting your tools.

Final benefits details are confirmed in the offer conversation.

Why This Seat Matters Now

Here is the opportunity, plainly. A book of business recently opened up, and with it an under-worked, warm pipeline and open territory the kind of running start most sales leaders never inherit. We are not asking one hero to replace it single-handedly; we are hiring a leader to cover it as a unit and build something durable: your own pipeline alongside three reps you develop into producers.

At the same time, we are done running sales on personality alone. We have launched HubSpot, are launching Jetbuilt, and are building a strategic-channel events program alongside a dedicated Marketing hire. The system is going in you get to run on it, tighten it, and own it.

If you are a closer who has been waiting for the chance to build something a team, a system, a book of your own, and a real second engine as it all ramps this is that seat.
