This integrator has experienced significant growth over the last several years and is currently managing a robust four-week backlog of projects. Their success is built on a "no-ego," collaborative team culture where leadership is deeply committed to developing talent and providing clear pathways for career advancement.

Why Join Us?

  • Stable and Growing Backlog: Join a company with a high demand for services and a consistent schedule of high-end projects.
  • Leadership That Invests in You: Benefit from a leadership group that prioritizes mentorship and training, helping you grow from a technician into more advanced roles.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work within a tight-knit, supportive environment where the team genuinely enjoys their work and helps one another succeed.
  • Autonomy and Trust: Once you prove your skills, you’ll have the independence to manage your task list without someone looking over your shoulder.

Job Overview

We are seeking an AV Technician (Tech 2) who has moved beyond the "apprentice" stage and is ready to operate with a degree of independence. In this role, you will be responsible for executing fundamental installation tasks—from pre-wiring and cable termination to hanging TVs and building racks. This is an ideal position for a motivated professional with a "programmer’s mindset" who wants to refine their technical chops and eventually grow into high-level systems integration.

Responsibilities

  • Field Installation: Execute onsite AV installations for both residential and commercial projects, including pre-wiring and cable termination.
  • Independent Execution: Successfully complete task lists, such as hanging TVs and installing equipment, independently and to company standards.
  • Rack Building: Assist in the assembly and staging of AV racks, ensuring clean and organized cable management.
  • Client Interaction: Represent the company professionally on-site, interacting with homeowners and partners with confidence and a polished demeanor.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, ensuring all work is checked for functionality and aesthetic excellence.
  • Mentorship: Assist in the guidance of entry-level technicians when on-site, sharing fundamental skills and best practices.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience working for a custom integration firm (CI).
  • Proven Technical Fundamentals: Strong proficiency in tool management, pre-wiring, and cable termination.
  • Physical Capability: Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including hanging large displays and working in various job-site conditions.
  • Professionalism: Polished communication skills and a professional appearance for client-facing environments.
  • Self-Starter: The ability to operate independently and take ownership of daily tasks without constant oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Control Platforms: Familiarity with Control4, Crestron, Savant, or Lutron systems.
  • Networking Knowledge: A foundational understanding of networking software and hardware.
  • Diverse Experience: Experience working in both residential living spaces and commercial business environments
Compensation
  • Hourly rate: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
