Quality Control Inspector

Summary:

Inspect parts, products, materials and processes to ensure conformance with standards. Checks for irregularities and defects. Compares product with order to ensure completion of assembly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Inspect each home. Utilize check sheet and inspect each room and exterior for obvious cosmetic defects.
  • Follow-up on repairs- they will be continuous. You will personally inspect each item written up on the check sheet to verify that a quality repair has been done and that no other damage happens during the repair process.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control Manager and manufacturing personnel to effectively resolve problems related to product design, materials, specifications and/or manufacturing operations.
  • Ensures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems are within compliance of our company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strive to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.
  • Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with the guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.

Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned. Keeps area neat and clean. Read and use a tape measure. Read blueprints and orders. Communicate well with coworkers. Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools competencies.

Must have a strong work ethic. Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically. Must understand safety procedures. Must have good teamwork skills. Must live the Champion Operating Principles.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use of hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and/or Experience

High School degree or G.E.D. and one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
