Job description

Gauge Engineering Services is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and test real-time embedded software, manages system requirements, and ensures hardware-software compatibility for Weapons Systems Location: Moorestown, NJ Key Responsibilities
• Design and code real-time embedded applications, autonomy behaviors, or data analysis tools using C++ and Java
• Integrate software with hardware components, payload computers, and combat systems via Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing
• Perform requirements analysis, traceability, and system modeling using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like CAMEO, MATLAB, and SysML
• Execute functional and system-level tests, troubleshoot integration issues, and simulations
• Ensure adherence to military open-systems standards (MOSA, OMS, etc.), safety-critical guidelines, and cybersecurity protocols Required Qualifications
• Active Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering field such as Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of systems engineering experience
• Experience with algorithm development
• Experience with modeling and simulation
• Proficiency in C++, Java, and MATLAB Preferred Qualifications
• Expertise in any of the following domains:
o Command and Control Systems
o Weapons Systems
o Missile Defense Systems
o Avionics and Airborne Systems
o C5 Systems
