Working at our Cincinnati Aviation Component Service Center:

Our ACSC facility develops and conducts a wide array of engine component repairs - including rotating parts, complex assemblies and nozzles on 29 different engine models.

Role Overview:

Responsible foroperatingand, whenrequired, setting up equipment used in chemical processing operations. This includes chemical bath tanks, manual and solenoid valves, pumps, pressure washers, compressed air systems, cranes, and PLC-based control panels. The role prepares andmaintainschemical solutions and solids used for etching, stripping, cleaning, and related processes.Uses measuring devices,monitorschemical and lab equipment inventory, and works from printouts, sketches, shop manuals, standard practice manuals, and written or verbal instructions. Maintains required standards for quality, efficiency, cleanliness, and recordkeeping, including logging process and test results.Performs part preparation and cleanliness processes including hand scrubbing,manualabrasiveblasting, and roboticabrasiveblasting, using required tools and measurement devices to ensure parts meet processing and cleanliness requirements. Performs minor preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and systems, trains others as needed, uses hand tools, and supports movement of hardware as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1 year of hands-on hazardous chemical experience (such as chemical usage and safe handling)or 1 year experience working on aerospace hardware
  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience working withacids and basesand ability to understand associated hazards.
  • 3+ years' experience working on aerospace hardware
  • 1+ years' experience performing physically demanding tasksin hot and humid environment on a frequent basis
  • Experience performing minor visual inspection to verifyinitial andfinalconditionof work
  • 1+ years' experience with basic use of computers, applications, and keyboarding (e.g., PLCs, email, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
  • 1+ years' experienceperformingall work while wearing all the proper PPE (face shield, goggles, gloves, uniform, safety shoes)

Additional Information:

  • Wages $32.75 per hour plus 10% differential for 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 poundsfrequently. Items more than 40 pounds will be lifted withassistanceor lifting devices
  • Must be able to move heavy drums of solution and perform other heavy lifting as needed
  • Ability to work in a noisy, hot, and abrasive environment and wear appropriate safety gear such as eye protection, respirator, safety shoes, gloves and shop coat for extended periods of time
  • Role requires use of shop mathand gaugeswith the ability to obtain andmaintainOAP certification
