Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • The development, implementation and maintenance of the company culture, values, vision and mission within the Table Games department
  • Thorough knowledge of all Table Games operations
  • Sees that the Table Games department is operated in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws
  • Ensures that the Casino Managers have the necessary training, tool and resources to accomplish their goals and fulfill their responsibilities
  • Establishes departmental standards in accordance with all regulations and internal controls
  • Helps develop and ensures that the company's System of Internal Controls (SICS) meet and/or exceed the Nevada Minimum Internal Control System (MICS) with a thorough knowledge of these regulations including Title 31
  • Establishes training programs including the development and selection of internal departmental manuals, policies, procedures and all materials used for training and the course outlines as required
  • Oversees the fair and equitable application of coaching and disciplinary actions as well as positive reinforcement and recognition
  • Oversees the process of hiring, terminations and promotions of key gaming employees
  • Ensures that the gaming departments maintain an atmosphere of professionalism while inducing fun and excitement that benefits both the employees and the customers in accordance with our culture and values guidelines
  • Works with the accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data for the Table Games department, statistical data, and the development of budgets for the department
  • Works with all staff to ensure maximized profits through the proper utilization of the games, employees through scheduling and staffing levels, and control of departmental expenses to maintain the levels of service required for the business levels
  • Analyze all sources of data to determine the proper game mix, types, quantity, availability and location for maximum play and profits including the analysis of new game products and their potential value and performance as compared with industry standards, competitive models and the company's existing performance levels
  • Ensure the overall satisfaction and comfort of the customers
  • Interact on a daily basis with all casino staff and other operational departments to maintain open communication and collect feedback for analysis
  • Ensure Casino supervisors and managers are supporting the integrity of the scheduling process as well as enforcing all policies and procedures of Gold Dust West-Elko

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Five (5) years prior experience as a Pit Manager or Shift Manager is required
  • Manages Games Floor Supervisor and Dealers
  • Knowledge of all Table Games, Title 31, System of Internal Controls, and Gaming MICS
  • Must have good Customer Service and Employee relation skills
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Responsible for handling customer disputes if called
  • Responsible for changing or updating table layouts
  • Identification that establishes identity
  • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
  • Registered with Nevada Gaming Control Board
