This position will assist with planning, implementation, and evaluation of FPBCC's Community Outreach and Engagement efforts - which aims to improve knowledge and health behaviors through screening, risk reduction interventions, and prevention education. This position has two equal roles with time split between them. First, as a navigator to help coordinate community events to increase outreach and screening efforts across Nebraska. Second, as health educator that works with the community to increase cancer education and awareness across the cancer continuum.
As an integrated staff member, the community cancer control navigator will work in diverse, community-based settings in both rural and urban areas throughout Nebraska.
Occasional evening and weekend hours as well. This requires flexibility and ability to drive one's own vehicle and University vehicles. Daily tasks can be done in a hybrid working environment, with a mix of in-person commitments, travel, and tasks that can be completed virtually.
