Location: Bridgeville, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Control Panel Shop Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Control Panel Technicians to join our growing team. We have opportunities available for both entry-level candidates looking to build a career in industrial electrical systems and experienced technicians with control panel assembly and wiring experience.

In this role, you will assemble and wire electrical control panels according to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and project specifications. Depending on your level of experience, you'll work alongside senior technicians while developing your skills or independently build and troubleshoot complex control panels while mentoring newer team members.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you'll gain hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems and continue developing your technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels using electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Install electrical components including relays, switches, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices (based on experience level).
  • Inspect completed panels for accuracy, quality, and compliance with electrical standards and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot wiring and assembly issues during panel construction.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of wiring configurations and any modifications made during assembly.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and fellow technicians to ensure projects meet customer specifications.
  • Follow all company safety policies and electrical safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Experienced technicians may assist with training and mentoring less experienced team members.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training or certification in electrical systems, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field is preferred.

Experience

  • Entry-level candidates with electrical coursework, technical training, military experience, internships, or hands-on electrical experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experienced candidates should have 2+ years of control panel assembly, electrical wiring, industrial electrical, or related experience.

Desired Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (or willingness to learn).
  • Knowledge of electrical components and wiring practices.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and best practices.
  • Experience installing and wiring PLCs and HMIs is a plus for experienced candidates.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment.

Whether you're just starting your career or already have control panel wiring experience, we'd love to hear from you. We offer a supportive team environment, hands-on training, and opportunities for career growth.
