What You will Do:
  • Manage Engineering Excellence Office, providing technical leadership for a 600+ person gas power controls engineering organization; direct management of senior technical architects
  • Serve as the final technical authority for controls design decisions, reviews, and escalations
  • Act as subject matter expert in multiple controls technologies and systems-level thinking
  • Lead, mentor, and develop controls engineers across GT, ST, HRSG, BOP, control panels, networking, cybersecurity, and UX/HMI disciplines
  • Own safety, quality, and compliance for the business; ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and cybersecurity standards
  • Lead all safety-related RCAs and present to senior leadership; drive safety-first culture
  • Act as final decision-maker on RCA closure; validate proper root causes, appropriate corrective and preventive actions, and effective implementation
  • Develop collaborative relationships with client's Chief Engineering Office and engineering leadership
  • Build relationships with universities to support resourcing; develop internship / co-op programs
  • Work with engineering management to maintain team skills matrix
  • Support and present at governance meetings with company and customer executives to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment

What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or higher with at least 15 years of relevant engineering experience in gas power controls
  • Proven leadership and technical capability
  • Experience driving performance and improvement in engineering technology
  • Demonstrated global mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across cultures
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively and clearly with management, peers, team members, and clients

Pay Range: $120 000 to $160 000
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
We offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies. This position is located in Greenville, SC and is considered hybrid with 3 days required on-site.
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, up to 15% of travel is required.
Compensation Type: Competitive wages. Position also qualifies for benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, disability, life insurance, 401(K), tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.
