Position Description:

The Electrical Engineering Intern will help assist the customer project team in developing our power distribution equipment designs. The summer engineering intern program with LayerZero is designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to daily engineering operations, project management, cross-functional teamwork, and research and development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Schematic Design: Assist in creating and updating electrical one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and point-to-point wiring schematics.
  • Component Selection: Research and specify electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors, and transformers based on load requirements.
  • Enclosure Integration: Collaborate with the mechanical team to ensure electrical components fit within sheet metal enclosures while maintaining required clearances and thermal management.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs), wire harness worksheets, and assembly documentation for the production floor.
