Job Description:

The Highland Glide Team Nurse provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence-based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.

The RN must be willing and able to be cross-trained and float regularly to at least 2 units within the same service line. Service lines may include Acute Medicine and Emergency services.

The RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process.

The Registered Nurse may assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by Nurse Manager as a charge nurse or preceptor. The nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities. The Level II nurse provides support to team problem solving.

The nurse identifies opportunities for self-growth and contributes to the development of other learners. The nurse contributes to safe unit environment and operations.

PAY RANGE: $38 - $50.33

*The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 6 months RN expertise in an acute care setting preferred. Would consider newly graduated nurses. BS in Nursing required. Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse. Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
