Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring 2 years of CVICU experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details
  • Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
  • 14-week assignment length
  • Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
  • Active KY or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
  • ECMO experience preferred
  • Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care/management
  • Experience with care of ventilated patients and ventilator management
  • Experience with continuous IV sedation and titrating cardiac drips
  • Experience with IABP preferred
  • Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
  • At least one professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Provide advanced cardiovascular critical care nursing to ICU patients
  • Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position
  • Returning staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates with any licensure hits will not be accepted
  • All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration, as later requests will not be approved
