Position Overview

We are excited to announce an immediate opening for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join the South Coast Medical Clinic team. In this full-time, remote position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our patients by delivering mental health support through evidence-based practices. This role includes a competitive yearly salary range of USD 70,000 – 100,000, along with an enticing hire-on bonus for the successful candidate.

About the Organization

South Coast Medical Clinic is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing mental health challenges. We provide a comprehensive array of services focusing on emotional health and wellness, including substance use recovery, developmental disabilities, and support for those with acquired brain injuries. Our approach is rooted in respect, integrity, and compassion, providing personalized, person-driven programming designed to foster independence, community engagement, overall wellness, and recovery. We believe that every person deserves to live their best life, and we are committed to making that possible.

Work Environment

As a member of our virtual team, you will experience the benefits of a remote work setting that promotes work-life balance and flexibility. We provide a supportive atmosphere conducive to professional growth, where you can pursue passion projects and develop meaningful relationships with patients. Our clinic is committed to maintaining a digital environment that seamlessly integrates technology to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as an LMHC will encompass a variety of responsibilities crucial to patient care:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, including pre-crisis and crisis strategies, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and medication management plans.
  • Meet regulatory standards by completing documentation in a timely manner and utilizing evidence-based screening tools as directed by the clinical team.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
  • Actively engage in the clinic’s licensing and accreditation processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison with state agencies, service systems, and community partners to facilitate access to critical resources.
  • Foster effective communication with stakeholders to uphold the clinic's mission and meet contractual obligations.
  • Build and sustain relationships with local, state, and federal organizations to promote our services and explore new partnerships and funding opportunities.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities, including attending conferences and task forces relevant to mental health.
  • Promote our agency's values and principles in all interactions and perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will provide support to a varied patient population, including individuals dealing with mental health crises, those in recovery from substance use disorders, and clients with developmental disabilities. Your efforts will not only aim for immediate support and stabilization but also focus on long-term recovery and community integration, ensuring that every client has access to the comprehensive services they need.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field.
  • An independent LMHC license, which allows for unsupervised practice.
Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications are critical, we value experience that enriches our team's diversity. Candidates with experience in various therapeutic modalities, familiarity with evidence-based practices, and a proven track record of working collaboratively in interdisciplinary settings are highly desirable. Additionally, we welcome applications from LMHCs who currently hold licenses in other states, as we are willing to cover the expenses for obtaining licensure in Arizona.

Compensation and Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, South Coast Medical Clinic offers a robust benefits package that includes:

  • Monthly productivity bonuses to reward your contributions.
  • Continued professional development opportunities, including supervision and workshops.
  • A team-oriented environment that fosters collaboration.
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate your personal and professional needs.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and sick time.
  • A 403B retirement plan with a 3% company match.
  • Grants for first-time home buyers.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents.
  • Dependent care accounts to assist with childcare expenses.
  • A generous hire-on bonus.
Career Growth Opportunities

At South Coast Medical Clinic, we prioritize personal and professional development. As an LMHC, you will have access to valuable mentoring and the chance to pursue educational opportunities that can enhance your expertise and career progression. Your role will not only enable you to impact the lives of patients directly but also open doors for future leadership opportunities within the organization.
