Job description

We are looking for a recent graduate to join IMC as a Graduate Floor Trader. IMC is a high frequency trading firm and we have a strong trading presence in the broker market on the trading floor. As a Graduate Floor Trader, you will be assigned to one of the many EO options trading floors in the U.S., where you will actively respond to quotes in the open outcry broker market. We're seeking someone who loves participating in markets and has superior analytical, mathematical, and computing skills. As a graduate floor trader your decisions have a direct impact on IMC's trading strategies.
Your Core Responsibilities:
  • Work in a team of broker and screen traders to optimize trading
  • Interact with brokers throughout the day, making markets and providing liquidity
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers
  • Perform trades analysis to improve trading
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance trading models, algorithms, systems, and positional risk
  • Research new market opportunities

Your Skills and Experience:
  • Recent university graduate or current university student graduating between May 2025 and July 2026 with a degree in finance, economics, mathematics or related field of study
  • Superior numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Genuine interest in financial markets, though no prior knowledge or experience required
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-moving and competitive environment
  • Experience with programming in Python is and advantage
  • A team player - at IMC we're all in together
  • Eagerness to continuously learn
  • Open to travel within the US to support IMC across multiple exchanges
  • Must be available to start full-time employment in August 2026

The Base Salary range for the role is included below. Base salary is only one component of total compensation; all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance. Base Salary: $200,000 USD
