Job description

Description
  • Enterprise IT decisions are only as good as the analysis behind them, and at the executive level the analysis has to be quantitative, visual, and defensible. The Red Gate Group is seeking an expert Data Analyst to support a major Intelligence Community customer's CIO organization, applying statistical tools, data visualization techniques, and process analytics to drive executive decision making, governance boards, and enterprise IT planning.
This is a hands-on analytical seat, not a budget tracking role. You will use statistical tools and analytical methods to identify IT spend and budget reduction trends that shape investment decisions and prioritization, and you will apply data and process analytic techniques to map dependencies between IT systems and capabilities and determine the true cost of IT components across the enterprise. The work is building the models, running the analysis, and visualizing the results so senior leaders can see the answer, not just read about it.
Your analysis will carry weight. You will provide data analysis support to executive governance boards and the agency's planning, programming, budgeting, and capital investment processes, and you will deliver data-based recommendations on resource and program activities directly to senior leadership. If you want your statistical work to change how an enterprise invests, this is the seat.
Join us. The decisions are waiting on the data.
    You Have
    • 12+ years of experience conducting data analysis, including recent experience within the last 2 years. This experience requirement is firm and cannot be met through education or certifications.
    • Master's degree in a related field, or one of the following in its place: an Associate's degree in a related field and 4 additional years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 additional years of relevant experience, or 6 additional years of relevant experience. The additional years used in place of the degree are on top of the 12 year experience requirement above, not counted within it.
    • Hands-on experience with statistical tools and analytical methods, such as statistical software packages, scripting for analysis, or advanced analytic platforms.
    • Experience building data visualizations that communicate analytic findings to executive audiences.
    • Experience applying process analytics to map dependencies and derive cost or performance insights across complex environments.
    • Experience presenting data-based recommendations to senior leadership or governance forums.
    • Active TS/SCI clearance.

    Nice If You Have
    • CI Polygraph.
    • Experience supporting an Intelligence Community customer.
    • Experience supporting planning, programming, budgeting, and execution or capital investment processes with quantitative analysis.
    • Experience analyzing IT spend, total cost of ownership, or enterprise IT portfolio data.

Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate within a team environment.
  • Ability to type, sitting or standing, to complete work functions for hours at a time; ability to move between sitting, standing and walking on a frequent basis.
  • This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday, within the contract hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Other Duties:
Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
