Job description

Senior Financial Data Analyst

Chicago, IL (hybrid WFH 2 days, onsite 3 days in Willis Tower in the loop)

The Senior Financial Data Analyst role will be supporting major FP&A processes by designing and developing tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights/data visualization. You'll be working with data in Snowflake, to build Power BI dashboards/reports as your primary responsibility – and also using Excel/PowerPoint to model and tell stories about the data you're analyzing. Specifically, this role will support the budget and reforecast processes and projects that drive insight into financial performance, identify opportunities to enhance asset value, and create efficiencies through report automation.

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for partnering with the asset management, executive and finance teams to translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights/data visualization to effect company change

Leverage Snowflake and other data sources to automate reporting, financial analysis and facilitate major FP&A processes such as forecasting and budgeting

Own critical comprehensive analysis functions using statistical and financial techniques to create and manipulate complex datasets to identify trends, issues, opportunities, develop performance reports, financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and internal management reports

Create BI tools to help the team make better decisions and Identify opportunities to unlock value (Power BI experience is a plus)

Display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner

Track outcomes and portfolio performance in accordance with budget and strategic direction

At least some experience as a Financial Analyst, or analyzing financial data in some capacity (ideally for FP&A)

3+ years of experience with Data Analysis and/or BI Development

Power BI experience (Tableau is okay too, but need at least SOME Power BI)

Strong SQL experience

3+ years of experience in driving data analysis, financial planning, financial modeling statistical analysis

Snowflake experience, or experience extracting data from other cloud-based Data Warehouses
