The College ofDentistry, Dental Clinics Department at the University of Illinois Chicago isseeking a full-time academic professional Dental Health Informatics Trainingand Development Specialist to design, implement, and maintain comprehensivetraining programs for electronic health record (EHR) end-users within the UICCollege of Dentistry. This role ensures that faculty, staff, students, andresidents are effectively onboarded, trained, and supported in utilizing EHRsystems for both clinical and academic purposes.
The Dental Health Informatics Training andDevelopment Specialist will evaluate training needs of all EHR end-users anddevelop tailored solutions by applying new ideas in areas of content design,content management, and eLearning/multimedia tool usage. They will also design,update, and deliver instructor-led, online, and blended learning curricula(including e-learning modules, printed materials, tip sheets, in-personsessions) along with manage onboarding and offboardingprocesses for faculty, staff, students, and residents in the EHR system incollaboration with UIHealth amongst other duties.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in anoral health profession, health informatics, health information management or aclinical discipline with educational or informatics focus. Minimum of 3 yearsof working with an electronic health record (EHR) or development of EHRtraining, education, or clinical informatics, including direct support of endusers in an oral health organization, healthcare or academic health sciencessetting.
The ideal candidate must have a master's degree and licensure in oral health sciences or DDS/DMDor foreign equivalent (e.g. MPH, MPA, RDH). Experience with oral healthcurriculum, prior teaching experience, and working knowledge of Epic WisdomDental Software are also preferred. The chosen candidate must obtain Epiccertification within 6 months of hire.

The budgeted salary range for the position is$90,000.00 to $105,000.00. Salary iscompetitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while alsoconsidering internal equity.
