We believe electricity powers modern life. As part of our Power sector, you'll help shape how electricity is generated, transmitted and delivered as global energy demands grow. From massive data centers to modernizing transmission systems, our industry-recognized engineers and scientists have been at the forefront of grid transformation for more than a century. You'll work side-by-side with these experts and contribute to reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems, helping communities thrive and industries expand. This isn't just a job, it's a chance to drive infrastructure forward, power innovation and leave your mark on our energy future.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Digital Delivery Lead to join our Transmission Business Class. This role reports directly to the Global Transmission Business Class Leader. The ideal candidate will champion process improvement by implementing industry-leading technologies and dynamic workflows to support our digital delivery on electric Transmission projects. You will bring a strong engineering technologist mindset, with the ability to conceptualize and develop custom tools, automations, and AI integrations to elevate our engineering and design work product and efficiency.
The position also plays a key leadership role in aligning Transmission design practices with HDR's Digital Design Community (DDC) - HDR's centralized platform for digital design tools, workflows, standards, and support resources - while ensuring practical, scalable solutions are delivered to project teams.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Act as a Transmission representative within HDR's Digital Design Community, contributing to cross-business group collaboration on tools, workflows, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify, develop, and scale initiatives focused on process improvement, integrating cutting-edge technologies, and establishing dynamic workflows for digital design and project delivery.

  • Explore, evaluate, and integrate AI tools and applications, such as Microsoft Power Apps and AI Agents, to enhance daily operations and business class efficiency.
  • Serve as a Product Owner for PLS-CADD software. This includes the management of PLS-CADD licenses, understanding user capabilities, tracking software usage, conducting comprehensive cost analyses, and developing strategic road-maps for future software enhancements and trainings.
  • Support broader digital integration efforts by utilizing intelligent model-based platforms, such as Bentley iTwin or comparable digital design software, to ensure seamless multidisciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Specific hands-on experience utilizing and managing PLS-CADD.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk and Bentley verticals such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, Bentley OpenRoads.
  • Familiarity with collaboration platforms like Autodesk Forma and Bentley Infrastructure Cloud.
  • Familiarity with digital twin platforms such as Autodesk Tandem and Bentley iTwin.
  • Familiarity in model clash detection techniques.
  • Proven track record of developing engineering automations or leading the integration of low-code/no-code platforms into production workflows.
  • Strong background developing custom applications and workflows within Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong interest and working familiarity with emerging AI tool implementations.
  • Active participation in ongoing technical working groups, both internally at HDR and externally within the industry.
