About the business unit:

BD RxAuto, as part of BD's Connected Care business segment, is expanding BD's leadership in pharmacy automation through connected hardware, software, analytics, and workflow solutions that help pharmacies simplify operations, improve visibility, and support safer medication management.

About the role:

The Senior Product Manager, Software will lead strategy, roadmap, commercialization, and lifecycle management for a strategic pharmacy automation software platform. This role translates customer, market, competitive, and business insights into an executable roadmap that improves efficiency, scalability, and customer value.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and evolve the 2-3-year product strategy and roadmap, balancing customer value, business priorities, technical feasibility, regulatory needs, and commercial impact.
  • Lead VOC, market research, competitive intelligence, and customer immersion to identify workflow needs, software pain points, adoption barriers, and differentiation opportunities.
  • Translate insights into prioritized user needs, business cases, roadmap recommendations, and success metrics.
  • Partner with R&D, UX, service & support, implementation, quality, regulatory, sales, and regional marketing teams from discovery through launch, adoption, and enhancement.
  • Support commercialization, including positioning, value proposition, pricing and packaging inputs, launch planning, sales enablement, training strategy, and field readiness.
  • Represent customer and business needs within a cross-functional core team.
  • Communicate roadmap updates, VOC findings, investment needs, launch readiness, and trade-off decisions to cross-functional and executive stakeholders.

About you:

You have senior product management experience with complex software expertise, enabling you to lead platform strategy, drive customer adoption, and deliver long term value.

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least 5 year of relevant experience in product management, software product management, upstream marketing, strategic marketing, business development, market research, or related commercial roles
  • Experience with software, SaaS, cloud-enabled products, analytics platforms, enterprise software, or connected systems
  • Experience managing products or platforms across the lifecycle, including discovery, roadmap development, launch, adoption, enhancement prioritization, and migration or end-of-life planning.
  • Strong VOC, customer research, workflow mapping, market analysis, competitive assessment, business case development, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence without authority in a matrixed global organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Global software solutions/deployment experience
  • Healthcare, medical technology, pharmacy automation, medication management, regulated industry, or B2B experience
