Job description

About the Company

MedRock Pharmacy is a fast-growing, tech-forward pharmacy specializing in dermatology and personalized medicine. Our engineering team builds a modern, full-stack pharmacy management platform — workflow automation, real-time dashboards, device integrations, and compliance tooling — that pharmacists and technicians use every day. We value innovation, adaptability, and a commitment to high-impact engineering.

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Software Engineer I to build features across our TypeScript stack. This is an early-career role ideal for a developer with solid fundamentals who wants to ship production software with real users from week one. You'll work directly with the Engineering Lead across the backend API, web frontend, and supporting services.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain features in TypeScript across a NestJS backend and Next.js/React frontend

- Write SQL and work with PostgreSQL data models; create and review database migration files

- Develop REST APIs, WebSocket real-time features, and integrations with internal and third-party systems

- Write unit and integration tests (Jest, Cypress) and participate in code reviews

- Debug production issues and contribute fixes with attention to audit and compliance requirements

- Document features and collaborate on design specifications before implementation

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience

- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript; familiarity with React and Node.js

- Understanding of relational databases and SQL

- Git fluency and comfort with pull-request workflows

- Experience with NestJS, Next.js, or healthcare software is a plus

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills; able to work independently with light guidance

Benefits

-Medical, Dental, Vision and auxiliary benefits

-Paid Time Off

-401k + match
