I2X Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active Top Secret clearance. 

  • Network Development Engineer supports build out and deployments to the operational environment as necessary.
  • Work within an agile scrum team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements.
  • Responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the network to operational sites.  
  • Responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel. 
Qualifications
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • The position requires an IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc. 
  • This position requires an CCNA or JNCIA certificate
  • 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies.
  • Must have an understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.  
  • Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.  
  • Must have firewall experience - especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Must have experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.  
  • Must have hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.  
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.  
  • Must thrive and do your best work in a collaborative and agile environment. 
  • Must understand standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.  
  • Familiarization with virtualization technologies - NFV, SDWAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, and Aria (Desired)
  • Experience with network automation using Ansible (Desired)

Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
