Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development, execution and documentation of testing electrical and mechanical subsystems of our gaming products.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to translate technical findings into actionable guidance for design engineers, write clear and detailed test plans for testers, and produce forensic diagnostic reports that support both design validation and sustaining engineering efforts

  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems with particular emphasis on embedded processor and microcontroller-based electronics, to identify failure points, perform forensic debugging and root cause analysis, and design test methods to determine reliability

  • Experience supporting Design Validation activities, including the development of validation strategies that verify product performance against design specifications and regulatory requirements

  • Proven capability in sustaining engineering functions, including field failure investigation, corrective action support, and design support for ongoing product improvements. This includes component lifecycle management, researching, evaluating, and validating alternative parts to replace End-of-Life (EOL) components, and supporting their integration into existing designs with minimal disruption to form, fit, and function

  • Knowledge in the use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, electrical load mainframes, environmental chambers, dataloggers, logic and protocol analyzers, in addition to small hand and power tools

  • Familiarity with reading and comprehending technical documents such as schematics, firmware documentation, manuals, and mechanical drawings relevant to embedded and electro-mechanical systems

  • Prior experience in hardware testing and the casino gaming industry a plus

Education

Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or a closely related engineering field

Skills

  • Write and maintain test plan procedures and standards for the hardware test team.

  • Design and implement comprehensive test plans for electrical and mechanicalsystems andsubsystems in our gaming products.

  • Participate in design reviews and communicate test findings to design engineers.

  • Development and structure of hardware test kits for suppliers and regulatory agencies.

  • Continuous improvement by taking feedback from our field service teams on issues seen and implementing new test procedures to catch these in the design phase
