Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extruder/Laminating Machine Operator Inspector to join our team in Killingly, CT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and inspecting extruder and laminating machines to ensure the production of materials that meet our quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of the extrusion and lamination processes, as well as the ability to use precision measuring tools for quality control.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating and inspecting extruder and laminating machines, including setting up and adjusting machine parameters to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitoring machine operations, including material flow, temperature, and speed, to ensure quality and efficiency of the extrusion and lamination processes.
  • Performing quality checks on materials at various stages of production, identifying defects or deviations from specifications, and documenting findings.
  • Using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify that materials meet dimensional and tolerance requirements.
  • Conducting visual inspections of materials for surface defects, inconsistencies, and other quality issues.
  • Making adjustments to machines as needed to maintain quality and minimize waste.
  • Documenting inspection results, production data, and any deviations from quality standards.
  • Adhering to all safety regulations and operating procedures related to the operation of extruder and laminating machines.
