Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to support the Connecticut Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) and Connecticut Information Sharing System (CISS). The candidate will be responsible for manual and automated testing, UAT, requirements validation, defect tracking, and test automation.

Required Experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in software QA/testing for IT projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with C# or Java programming.
  • Experience testing web services using SoapUI and/or Postman.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with NIEM XML or other complex XML standards.
  • Experience with SOA technologies.
  • Experience in test automation framework development and maintenance.
  • Experience with data-driven automation testing.
  • Experience with automation reporting tools such as Extent Reports.
  • Experience with GitHub.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing.
  • Experience with defect management and requirements traceability.
  • Experience integrating automated test suites with DevOps.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred: Experience with IBM Rational Jazz Suite and government/criminal justice applications.

Work Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with telework available and occasional in-person meetings.

Security: Must pass a background investigation and comply with CJIS security and confidentiality requirements.
