ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary focus of the Operations Manager is to oversee business operations by providing effective methods of day-to-day operations, maintain and develop client relationships, estimate work, and recruit/develop personnel for ongoing and future projects.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure organizational safety expectations are met by all employees
  • Monitor the financial performance and production of projects
  • Ensure contractual compliance for current and future projects
  • Develop, strengthen, and maintain long lasting client relationships
  • Pursue business growth opportunities
  • Advise staff of company policy expectations
  • Lead, direct, and audit the work of assigned staff; act as a mentor
  • Coordinate employee performance reviews
  • Facilitate and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience (10+ years' in a leadership role within the construction or utilities industry)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to develop a solid safety culture with subordinates
  • Excellent salesmanship and communication skills to include written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and team building skills

  • Salary 
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
