Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Waterproofing Superintendent to lead and oversee waterproofing projects across various construction sites. This role is vital in ensuring the integrity, durability, and quality of waterproofing systems in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, extensive experience in waterproofing techniques, and a passion for delivering excellence on every project. As a Waterproofing Superintendent, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, review technical drawings, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to achieve project success from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise waterproofing crews on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
  • Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to interpret waterproofing requirements accurately.
  • Coordinate construction schedules with project managers using Primavera P6 or other construction management software to meet deadlines.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely procurement of materials such as membranes, sealants, and other waterproofing products.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to verify proper installation techniques and adherence to blueprint details and schematics.
  • Enforce OSHA and federal construction safety regulations on-site; conduct safety meetings and ensure all team members follow proper protocols.
  • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing of systems where applicable; oversee troubleshooting and problem resolution during installation phases.
  • Review contracts, change orders, and project budgets; assist in construction estimating and cost control efforts.
  • Supervise the interpretation of technical drawings and schematics to ensure precise implementation of waterproofing solutions.
  • Oversee the management of project documentation including daily reports, inspection logs, and safety records to maintain comprehensive project records.

Required:

  • Experience and willing to work on both vertical and horizontal projects (garages, plaza/pool decks)
  • Good understanding of safety requirements.
  • Rigging experience, lift, scaffolding
  • Waterproofing and concrete experience
