Mediaware DevSecOps Engineer

Our work depends on a Mediaware DevSecOps Engineer joining our team to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. You will work with collaborative teams to perform technical activities that impact the design, testing, and implementation of systems, software, and applications, including FMV exploitation capabilities.

HOW MEDIAWARE DEVSECOPS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provide a proactive mindset to maintain and update the development pipeline responsible for producing video encoding technology as part of our overall development environment
  • As part of the team, you will support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline activities involving end-to-end system performance validation efforts with a focus on communicating effectively with customers, team members, and end users
  • You will work independently under pressure and effectively identify, recommend, and problem solve system issues to ensure systems, software, and applications are properly configured to meet customer needs

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent

Required Experience: 8 years of related technical experience

Security Clearance Level: None, but ability to obtain TS/SCI a plus

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps: experience in implementing DevSecOps monitoring applications/frameworks to understand how the system is performing, including being able to integrate test results and build status back into our system (GitLab/Jira integration)
  • Experience maintaining a secure DevSecOps environment, working with the ISSO to remediate vulnerabilities identified by the GDIT CISO team
  • Experience setting up various environments using both Windows and Linux Operating Systems
  • Optimize and develop Helm charts to deploy Kubernetes applications into Rancher-managed clusters
  • Familiar with setting up build environments and dependencies to get rid of the duplicate code
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to compile custom applications and integrate automated security scanning
  • Proficient in automation scripting (Bash and Python) and Linux/Unix system administration across RHEL, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux
  • Manage and maintain GitLab runners to ensure balanced pipeline load and consistent availability for building applications
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, and strong understanding of AWS Services including EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and ECR

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
