Job description

Join a mission-focused team developing innovative software solutions that support critical national security initiatives. As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications and web-based solutions that drive operational effectiveness for our customers. Working alongside engineers, architects, and mission stakeholders, you will help deliver scalable, high-performing software while contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and make a direct impact on mission success.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications in web-based environments.
  • Develop, enhance, and modify software solutions to meet evolving customer and mission requirements.
  • Analyze user needs and translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Design and customize software applications to improve operational efficiency and business processes.
  • Support database design, development, integration, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Manage and maintain websites and web applications, including deployment and performance optimization.
  • Perform software testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, and software specifications.
  • Support application deployment, maintenance, and sustainment activities.
  • Work independently or as part of an agile development team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level software applications.
  • Experience developing web-based applications and services.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and development methodologies.
  • Experience working with relational databases and database design concepts.
  • Experience supporting the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevSecOps practices.

Salary and Benefits Information:

The salary range for this position is $147,990.00 to $195,455.00. The proposed range is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, location, and contractual considerations and may fall outside of the stated range.
