Software Developer - Cloud & Pension Systems Modernization
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Developer for a comprehensive, multiyear modernization initiative. This project involves replacing aging legacy systems and transitioning to a unified, cloud-native environment. The focus will be on building a modern Azure-hosted pension administration system to support scalable, secure, and efficient operations for a large state pension system.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of application development, including coding, unit testing, documentation, and code reviews.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain application components that meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop clear, actionable user stories and maintain a prioritized backlog.
  • Develop APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows.
  • Translate technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready software.
  • Collaborate with technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managers.
  • Manage multiple development tasks and meet established timelines.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of modern application development frameworks, programming languages, and secure coding practices.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile.
  • Knowledge of business process analysis, functional design principles, and documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with legacy systems architecture, dependencies, technologies, and integration points.
  • Experience with C# .Net, Web API, Angular 16+, SQL, Azure DevOps, and GIT.
  • A degree in Computer Science or MIS with 3-5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Work Schedule and Location
This is a remote position. However, in-person attendance may be required for some on-site meetings. Please note that travel expenses for contractors will not be reimbursed and must be included in the contract award as per state regulations.
