Job description

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Front End Loader Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate heavy equipment to move, load, and handle materials within the job site. The Front-End Loader Operator will use large earth-moving machines such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, front-end loaders, and other machinery to excavate, haul, load, push, roll, and move aggregate and related materials. The role also involves conducting pre-operational checks and ensuring proper equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery such as front-end loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, and excavators to excavate, move, load, and grade materials such as earth, rock, gravel, and other construction aggregates.
  • Pre-Operational Checks & Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-operational checks on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and refilling machinery to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety practices and guidelines to ensure the safe operation of all equipment and machinery on the job site.
  • Manual Labor: Perform manual labor tasks when necessary to support equipment operations, including handling and moving materials manually.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Work outdoors in various weather conditions, sometimes under adverse weather, and remain productive and safety-conscious during long hours.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and safety checks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Heavy Equipment Experience: Proven ability to operate heavy and complex equipment, including front-end loaders and other construction machinery, requiring skill and independent judgment.
  • Safety & Operational Knowledge: Solid knowledge of safe operating practices and techniques for heavy equipment use and the ability to assess equipment condition.
  • Physical Endurance: Ability to sit for extended periods while operating machinery, and the physical capability to climb, bend, stoop, and squat frequently.
  • Manual Labor Capabilities: Ability and willingness to perform manual labor as part of the job.
