Job description

Overview:
Job Title: AI Trust & Guardrail Engineer
Company: R2 Technologies
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid / Remote Options Available)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contractual
About R2 Technologies: R2 Technologies is a Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) headquartered in Alpharetta, GA. With over two decades of experience across global markets, we have built a reputation as a trusted partner for IT staffing excellence and cutting-edge digital product innovation. We are driven by innovation and operate on a simple philosophy: "We deliver what we promise, and we promise only what we can deliver." Beyond providing top-tier IT talent, R2 builds cutting-edge proprietary solutions like SmartEnt-an Enterprise AI & IoT Intelligence Platform utilizing advanced NLP and AI technologies. By partnering closely with our clients, we deliver technology-driven outcomes that are realistic, measurable, and impactful.
Job Summary: Trust is the ultimate hurdle in deploying autonomous systems. R2 Technologies is looking for an AI Trust & Guardrail Engineer to ensure our intelligent agents operate safely, ethically, and securely. You will build the definitive guardrails that prevent autonomous systems from executing destructive commands, leaking Personally Identifiable Information (PII), or hallucinating critical data, ensuring that all our AI deployments meet strict regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities: * Design and implement robust semantic routing and filtering systems to intercept, evaluate, and block toxic, biased, or non-compliant LLM inputs and outputs.
  • Deploy and configure framework-level safety layers like NeMo Guardrails or Llama Guard to constrain agentic behaviors and restrict unauthorized tool execution.
  • Develop automated red-teaming and prompt-injection testing frameworks to continuously probe production models for vulnerabilities.
  • Map AI system architectures against enterprise compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2), ensuring data privacy within RAG pipelines and model context windows.
  • Build audit trails and transparency logs that explain AI decision-making processes for business stakeholders and compliance audits.
  • Actively utilize AI-assisted coding tools to generate test cases, evaluate edge-case scenarios, and script automated compliance checks.

Qualifications: * Up to 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Application Security, AI/ML Engineering, or Risk & Compliance tech.
  • Deep understanding of LLM vulnerabilities (e.g., prompt injection, jailbreaking, data exfiltration) and mitigation strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with AI safety frameworks (NeMo Guardrails, specialized moderation models).
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and how they apply to modern AI architectures and vector databases.
  • Proven experience or strong familiarity working alongside AI coding assistants to enhance productivity.

Strong programming skills (Python) and the ability to collaborate effectively with both engineering and legal/compliance teams.
