Job description

The Substance Use Screening Technician will offer drug testing for clients referred to Companies under the supervision of the Talent Engagement Manager. The technician will adhere to all of the approved drug testing protocols, as detailed. All documentation procedures shall be completed in line with Company's rules and procedures, guaranteeing proper chain of custody protocols for all samples taken, recorded, and transmitted for laboratory confirmation testing. Responsibilities: The Talent Acquisition Coordinator position reports directly to the Talent Engagement Manager-with a dotted line to the Substance Testing Programs Manager and partners with team members to achieve the various types of company required and FAA/DOT mandated drug tests. Specific functions, tasks, and requirements may vary for the Coordinator or may be added depending upon the location, testing volume, and operational and program requirements. Job duties include but may not be limited to: Responsible for the accurate, timely, and efficient administration of Company required and FAA/DOT mandated drug and alcohol testing for safety sensitive employees. Certify each drug and alcohol test in accordance with the procedures established in the U.S. Department of Transportation regulation, 49 CFR Part 40 & Part 120. Conduct pre-employment drug screens for employees transferring into safety sensitive positions. Under limited situations, must be willing to conduct same-gender direct observations of specimen production as required by federal law. Fill out all required paperwork and logs associated with the clients substance use test. Handle sensitive and confidential information. Follow and adhere to regulatory requirements when sanitizing drug testing area, as well as collecting and shipping specimens, to ensure safety of donor and collector, and avoid cross contamination. Serve as liaison to employees being tested including escorting/directing them to testing facility and educating/answering questions about the testing process and overall program Report any notable information to circumstances to Company staff and/or management, including any behavioral problem that may arise. Ensure appropriate documentation of any instances requiring reports to supervisory staff.
Quals--
Must be able to perform essential functions of the job to accomplish testing services requirements. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Minimum of high school diploma/GED or equivalency required. Must maintain confidentiality. Requires a flexible schedule with the ability to work past business hours while changing work assignments, based on operational needs. Should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn how to use other software as needed. Strong oral and written communication skills are desired. Should possess effective judgment and customer-service orientation necessary to instruct program participants, and contractors on policies, procedures, and systems. Must be reliable, self-motivated and able to meet productivity objectives whether working independently or in a team setting. Must demonstrate attention to details, organizational skills, and can comprehend federal and/or state regulated materials. Must be able to handle multiple tasks associated with providing testing services and to professionally respond to changing priorities, with minimum direct supervision. Ability to maintain professionalism always including dealing with difficult as well as sensitive situations such as direct observation collections. Requires coordinating and planning skills in order to develop and carry out testing service schedules in the respective Company's test sites. Physical Requirements: Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour Practice good safety habits Able to sit or stand for long periods Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a production environment Other: Greet clients and treat them with respect as they present for fingerprinting Communicates effectively with all levels of staff Maintains composure while working under pressure Reflects good judgment at all times when determining what action to take when resolving problems Adheres to Companys core values, safety and compliance policies and procedures Keeps work area neat and clean Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive environment.
