Job description

Constantine Mining LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vizsla Copper Corp., is committed to responsible mineral exploration at the Palmer VMS Project located near Haines, Alaska. Our multi-year plan to advance the Palmer Project through feasibility offers rewarding opportunities and we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Geologist to join our skilled and diverse workforce.

SENIOR GEOLOGIST

As a Senior Geologist, you will contribute to the geological exploration and evaluation of the Palmer VMS Project near Haines, Alaska. Key responsibilities include coordinating geological exploration initiatives, collecting geological data, assisting in managing drill operations, and interpreting data to identify potential mineral resources. You have strong leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. You are a well-rounded candidate with a solid track record of success.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Supervise on-the-ground aspects of the company drill programs and related geoscience studies including contractor management, core logging, technical surveys and reporting.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols during fieldwork activities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to environmental regulations and sustainable exploration activities.
  • Conduct geological fieldwork, including mapping, sampling, and prospecting.
  • Collect and analyze geotechnical data from field studies and laboratory analysis.
  • Supervise geotechnical support staff and core facility activities.
  • Collection, interpretation, manipulation, and reporting of geological data.
  • Core logging and associated geological interpretation, and data plotting.
  • Collaborate in the development of diamond drill programs, target evaluation, field mapping/prospecting programs and data compilation.
  • Assist in day-to-day activities including weekly/monthly reporting, annual reporting, permit preparation, health and safety documentation, supply, and contract procurement.
  • Maintain accurate and organized geological databases.
Education
  • Degree in Geology or other related discipline along with a minimum 5-10 years’ relevant experience.
  • Current registration or eligible for registration as a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 a plus.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of geological mapping, core logging, sampling techniques, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in geological software, GIS applications, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, including geological interpretations.
  • Experience with managing or assisting in managing multi-rig helicopter-supported drill programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive and collaborative attitude, committed to working in a team environment based on respect, trust and accountability in pursuing shared goals.
  • Mindset that factors personnel safety, environmental protection, and community commitment into every decision and action.
  • Solid knowledge of volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits would be a strong asset for this role.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
Travel Requirement

This is a full-time, year-round position supporting the Palmer Project, that will require travel during the summer field season with remote flexibility in the off-season.
