Job description

Position Title: RF Testing Subject Matter Expert (RF SME)
Department: Test
Location: Santa Ana, CA
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Job Summary:
The RF SME will be responsible for aiding in the testing of Regals contracted RF programs including cables, CCAs, and modules. The SME is expected to be on-site expert and support for all matters relating to testing, test development, troubleshooting, documenting, and manufacturing of RF related products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise and support for RF-related projects
• Develop and maintain RF test stations based on contractual deliveries
• Responsible for testing new RF designs and creating media related to training for technician level employees related to these projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of RF projects into the normal manufacturing flows
• Strong troubleshooting to component level to resolve technical issues related to RF designs
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in RF technology
• Willing to teach RF best practices and skills where applicable and work as a mentor within the test and engineering teams
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of RF systems, including design, configuration, and integration
• Experience with RF test: Gain, flatness, IP3, noise figure, VSWR
• Familiar with RF measuring equipment including but not limited to Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Power Meter, Power sensor, Noise source
• Experience with RF test software and troubleshooting processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Computer literate and software programming skills a plus
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field. (We will consider 5+ years' experience in electronics/RF in lieu of Bachelor's degree)
• 2 years of RF experience including experience with testing and troubleshooting of RF circuitry
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to handle small components and operate equipment.
