Job description

As the Senior Technical Delivery Lead, you will serve as the senior technology leader responsible for the successful delivery, operations, and continuous improvement of the technology and data-management capabilities supporting our clients. You will provide technical and delivery leadership across application, data, integration, reporting, infrastructure, and security functions to ensure the solution meets contractual, regulatory, operational, and business requirements.
This is a senior individual-contributor leadership position and does not have direct people-management responsibilities. The role provides functional and technical direction across multidisciplinary teams and may provide oversight to technical resources.
Individual in this role is expected to work at least 3 days per week in our Chicago or West Des Moines office

What you'll do:
Technology Leadership:
  • Provide overall technical leadership to build high quality, secure, scalable, and performant systems
  • Stay abreast of industry trends
  • Serve as a key technology contact for clients and Telligen leadership

Engineering Excellence:
  • Establish and reinforce engineering standards in building products of high quality, easy to maintain, scale effectively, and are highly secure
  • Partner with solution delivery managers and architects on technical direction and engineering decisions
  • Champion AI-first mindset across the organization
  • Participate in developing new business proposals. Seen as a change agent in the organization

Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure all the established SLA's/SLO's are met
  • Identify the risks, dependencies, and constraints proactively, and takes corrective actions to ensure maximum customer satisfaction

Collaboration & Teamwork:
  • Builds strong relationships across business, technology, operations, and client organizations and ensures technology delivery meets client expectations

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Four year degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with Medicaid information systems, data processing, data security and data reporting
  • Seven to ten years of experience in software engineering, product development, or related technology experience
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices
  • Experience with Java, React, APIs, microservices, and modern application architectures
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, cloud platforms (AWS), and DevSecOps practices
  • Experience with observability and application performance monitoring platforms
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, or Github Copilot
  • Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Individual in this role is expected to work at least 3 days per week in our Chicago or West Des Moines office
