GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision and according to specified procedures, performs routine laboratory activities such as patient receiving, venipuncture, computer data entry, and other related duties including lab clinical functions. 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Basic knowledge such as acquired through completion of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy training program preferred.
  • 6 months to one year on the job experience in venipuncture required.
  • Previous computer experience preferred.
