The Data Entry & Service Writer plays a critical role in keeping the diesel shop running smoothly by accurately documenting repair information, supporting technicians, and ensuring customers receive clear, timely communication. This position blends administrative precision with frontline service writing, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detailโ€‘driven environment

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Data Entry & Service Writer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Documentation - Create, update, and maintain repair orders, work orders, and service tickets with accurate customer and vehicle information.
  • Data Entry Management - Input labor times, parts used, diagnostic notes, and technician comments into the shop management system with high accuracy.
  • Customer Communication - Greet customers, gather vehicle concerns, explain recommended services, and provide status updates throughout the repair process.
  • Technician Coordination - Work closely with diesel technicians to clarify repair needs.
  • Quality Control - Review completed work orders for accuracy before closing and billing.
  • Customer Service - Provide a professional, friendly experience for every customer, ensuring clarity and trust in the repair process.
