Job description

Today, NVIDIA is tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what's never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world's best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you'll be immersed in a diverse, encouraging environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how we can make a lasting impact on the world.
The Advanced Technology Group is looking for a highly motivated Systems Software Engineer - New College Grad to join our group. Do you have a proven software development background in advanced computational methods for advanced semiconductor manufacturing and design? Are you seen as a technical leader and an industry expert in several of the underlying fields, such as massively distributed computing, computational geometry, diffractive optics, and artificial intelligence? If yes, then we'd love to hear from you! The job requires creating strategy, driving industry-leading innovation, and working in lean teams to realize these strategies, from invention to production.
This role will be located in Hillsboro, Oregon.
What you'll be doing:
  • Working with some of the best technologists in the world to build industry-leading advanced computational methods for advanced semiconductor manufacturing and design.
  • Exploiting the potential of the GPU to dramatically accelerate these software solutions.
  • Ultimately, keeping the cadence of semiconductor innovation alive by accelerating semiconductor yield and time to market.

What we need to see:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in developing and delivering complex software solutions for enabling or improving semiconductor fabrication and design.
  • Research and/or industry experience working on advanced computational and AI systems
  • Exposure to ML/AI techniques and deep learning fundamentals, including various network architectures and advanced concepts like model optimization, backpropagation, and mitigating challenges like vanishing gradients and model overfitting.
  • Demonstrated ability in low-level performance optimization, including algorithm development, memory management, cache compression, and work-load balancing for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on parallel programming models like CUDA, to accelerate computational methods.
  • Ability to solve complex algorithmic challenges and technical questions with minimal guidance, reflecting a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and computational theory

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. If you're creative and autonomous, we want to hear from you!
