This is a contingent position based upon contract award.

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Stationary Engineer to join our team supporting a government client in Aurora, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor maintenance and operation of the chiller and generator plants

  • Responsible for directing and managing all contractor personnel at the Utility Plants and rooms, and be responsible for the maintenance of the Utility Plants and its distribution equipment and systems

  • Direct the operations and maintenance of the site's critical facilities guaranteeing the continuity of critical operations, with a commitment to reliability for around-the-clock mission support.

  • Provide management oversight to 24/7 operational support teams, technicians, and vendors, including guidance, training and performance feedback. Ensure all work performed complies with safety protocols and industry standards.

  • Implement an effective preventive maintenance program, including maintenance scheduling, monitoring environmental controls and troubleshooting equipment to prevent downtime.

  • Enforce operational and maintenance standards that support contractual requirements and comply with regulatory and environmental requirements.

  • Implement work processes and leverage data analysis to assist clients with achieving reliable equipment performance at cost-effective rates

  • Provide rapid response to emergencies and equipment failures to ensure operational continuity and safeguard data integrity. Implement disaster recovery protocols and enforce compliance to maintain operational reliability.

  • Manage training plans for 24/7 employees ensuring a well-trained workforce to respond to site anomalies'

Qualifications

Required:

  • Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with polygraph

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Seven (7) years of facilities operations experience

  • Current certification or license complying with State and Local jurisdiction requirements

  • Personnel management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to manage items including, but not limited to: project schedule, scope, cost, risk, and deliverables and related metrics

  • Familiarity and willingness to manage a 24/7/365 operational environment

  • Highly effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, and group leadership skills

  • Ability to reliably operate in a complex and changing environment, demonstrating solid independent judgment

  • Ability to interpret, capture, and manage customer requirements and expectations

  • Experience managing facility management, operations, and sustainment projects.

  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (required).

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to obtain site-specific security clearances and customer-required safety certifications.

Basic Compensation:

$107,500 - $131,400

This range is for the CO area only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
