As an Electro Mechanic supporting our manufacturing site, you will be trusted with helping to troubleshoot and repair production equipment to help minimize production downtime and improve yield and quality in Johns Creek, GA.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance for all production equipment including technical problems in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems

  • Assisting others with technical problems on within the team including production personnel

  • Assisting in parts repair shop to rebuild and restore used parts as an “as built” condition adding to the annual cost avoidance total

  • Assisting with improvements to the maintenance systems (Preventative, Corrective, Predictive, and Spare Parts)

  • Assisting with technical projects for equipment retrofits and upgrades, and with revising or writing SOPs and shop repair instructions

  • Optimizing manufacturing equipment and processes to provide balanced gains in product quality, output, product yield, and cost reduction

  • Assisting with completing validation protocols

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

  • 1 Year of Relevant Experience

  • Work hours: 36 - 48 hours per week: 6:30 PM EST – 6:30 AM EST (12-hour rotating night shift: 2 nights on, 2 nights off, and every other weekend)

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel Requirements: 0%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Direct Machine Maintenance Experience

  • Experience troubleshooting & repairing production equipment

  • A related technical school certification or equivalent training or experience (e.g. manufacturing technology, electrical engineering, etc.)
