Trade and Structured Finance (“TSF”) is a global business unit focused to provide liquidity and financial solutions to several stakeholders in the emerging markets (banks, customers, suppliers, farmers). It structures various financial products by leveraging its global footprint and trade flows. TSF works with all business units across Olam Agri to find ways to add value to their businesses.

Position Summary


We are seeking a self-motivated individual for a position in our TSF team located in Richardson, TX. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. This role will report to the Trade Execution Manager.


Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end execution of structured trade transactions in the USA and Latin America.
  • Liaise with banks, corporate companies, internal and external customers, stakeholders, and counterparties on behalf of the Trade Structured Finance department.
  • Process all onboarding of banks and corporate companies to facilitate trade with counterparties.
  • Create, review, and request the issuances of Letters of Credits (L/C) & Standby Letters of Credits (SBLCs) and obtain L/C advice and L/C confirmations.
  • Execute all necessary documentation for export pre-payment agreements, master funded participation agreements, export performance, and offer letters.
  • Settle principal and interest payments to various banks, corporations, and farmers.
  • Create controls and checklists to minimize the operational risks in TSF transactions.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents in accordance with L/C and contractual requirements.
  • Track and review insurance applications, policies, transaction endorsements and various amendments.
  • Collaborate with insurance brokers on various policies.
  • Maintain a system to track insurance policy expirations, make scheduled premium payments, update reports, and provide documentation to insurance companies.
  • Create and update business need and existing transaction reports.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to adapt and learn new trade finance transactions.
  • Experience with credit risk insurance handling policies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to identify and solve day-to-day problems independently.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Prior SAP experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of International Standard Banking Practices.
  • Knowledge of Uniform Customs & Practice for Documentary Credits.
  • Knowledge of commodities trading is a plus.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse team across many geographies.
